October and Halloween 2012

October was a fun month. It started out with Girls' Weekend for my mom, sisters, and sister-in-law. We all met up in Twin Falls, ID and had a wonderful few days visiting, eating, and shopping. Unfortunately I didn't get any pics from the weekend. The second weekend the girls and I went down to Caliente, NV to visit my parents (see next post for those pics). We did get our first snow in October. It wasn't much but the girls were incredibly excited and loved it!! Here are a couple of pics of their snow-fun!

The week before Halloween the girls and I went to This is the Place for their "Little Haunts" fun with our good friends the Christensens. The girls got to do a little early trick-or-treating, along with the usual fun stuff they like to do there (ie. ride the train, ride the horses, play at the play area, etc.)
E and I with our Halloween shirts. I tried to get B in the pic but she was being grumpy!

There's a play area at This is the Place that has a wooden train and some little houses for the kids to play in. We usual use that as our lunch eating spot. Anyway, while the kids were playing in one of the houses all of a sudden B comes out screaming and E was on her tail saying she bonked her head. I didn't think to much of it at first and just told B to come over to me. As she was on her way over another lady informed me that she was bleeding pretty badly from the back of her head. She enough B had a gash and it was bleeding a LOT. Luckily my friend, Allison, is a nurse and we got the bleeding to slow down, then gathered up the kids and I took B to the emergency room. She did really well, and was so brave. She ended up getting three staples.
B and her "headband". She thought she was pretty cool!
The gash with the three staples.
The staples stayed in for a week and she did really well with the whole thing.

Here is just a fun belly pic, I was about 25 weeks along.

Of course we can't forget the Halloween photos. The girls were University of Utah cheerleaders. They call them their "Go Utes" dresses. The trick or treating started at Jeff's office and then they also went around the neighborhood too

My sister made this shirt for me and I used it as my costume!! I got tons of compliments on it. Thanks again Brenda!!

Caliente trip and Park to Park Pedal Extreme

The second weekend of October the girls and I went to my home town to visit my parents and some of my family. We had a great weekend and the girls has a blast playing with their cousins. They LOVE visiting with Grandma and Papa and being able to walk pretty much anywhere we go in town. We got lucky that weekend also because a good number of my family was there as well, but more on that later...here are a few pics from that weekend. (No they aren't really in order, I was getting too frustrated trying to get them all arranged and stuff that I just gave up!!)

The first day we were there is rained pretty good, E loved playing in the puddles!

Poor E fell off the slide, this is a couple hours after it happened.
The main event of the weekend was the Park to Park Pedal Extreme Century Ride. Quite a few members of family have really gotten into bike riding (I'm hoping to join in once baby gets here!) Lincoln County, NV (where I grew up) held a century ride for the second year the second weekend of October. The full 100 mile ride goes through 4 Nevada State Parks (all within Lincoln County). My dad, my sister Vera, and my cousin Loren all rode the 100 miles. My mom and my sisters Marie and Brenda rode the 40 miles. It was incredibly inspiring for me and made me want to get into bike riding even more!! Here are a few pics from that day. Once again they're not in order :)

August 2012

August was a busy but good month!! To start off a great month we made an exciting announcement. Here is the pick we took and sent out...

Yes, there is only ONE baby in there :)
The girls have been so excited about the baby in Mommies tummy. B loved to "give kisses and tickles" to the baby. I keep trying to ask them if it's a girl or boy, but I get mixed/different answers almost every time I ask. So I guess we'll just have to wait for the ultra sound!

Another exciting event is that we moved!! Jeff was hired on permanently at Ceridian, the same company he's been temping at for awhile now. We found a great home in Midvale/Sandy, UT to rent for a few years. It has a lot of room (plenty for our growing family!), a back yard, and we are loving it!! The neighborhood has been great so far, we have kids living just a few houses away and we have played a lot!!

The move was rather hectic, so I didn't get any pictures accept this one of B lining up some screw drivers. She is very meticulous and precise when she does things like this!

Towards the end of August my parents came up and stayed with us for a weekend. My amazing Dad participated in the Front Runner Century Ride (a 100 mile bike ride). The Friday evening before the ride my dad checked-in for the ride at the Gateway Mall. So we went out to dinner with my brother and his family then we went and wondered around the mall for a little while.

Daddy's girls!!

On the day of the bike ride we decided to ride the Front Runner train up to Ogden to meet my dad at the end of his ride (the century ride went from Salt Lake to Ogden). The girls thought riding on the train was pretty awesome, add Grandma and Papa in the mix and it was a fabulous day for them!!

E watching the "scenery" go by.

B drawing with Grandma!

It was a great weekend and we had a lot of fun spending time with my parents!! The girls sure love their Grandma and Papa. They often "talk to Papa" on their play phones and ask quite often if we can go to Papa and Grandma's house!!

July 2012

July was a good month, lots of fun best of all a birthday!!

First I'll start with the week of July 4th. I took the girls down to Caliente to see my parents. I also love the celebration and festivities that Caliente does on July 4th. Unfortunately I was too busy having fun with everything going on that I didn't get many pictures of all the stuff we did. If I can some from my dad then I'll add them :) Here are some pics from our adventures down there.

We also just had a lot of random fun playing in the backyard, going on outings with friends, and just enjoying the summer.

Water fun!!
One day we got a nice little rainstorm and the girls actually went outside with me so I showed them how to catch raindrops on their tongues!!

At the end of the month we celebrated the girls' 3rd birthday...I can't believe they're THREE!!! Where has the time gone?! We celebrated by having a few friends over and having a fun water party, hot dogs, and cupcake decorating. The girls had a blast and still talk about it!!
