Exciting news!

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to spread out the good news that I have found a job!!! I will be working as a secretary for the Board of Education through the state of Utah. I'm very excited for this job to start, ever since they interviewed me I've had the best of feelings and can't wait to start. They were even kind enough to give me a week after quitting Sharper Image before starting to recuperate!!!

For those who don't know, The Sharper Image filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and as a result the store that I am/was working at is closing. I was going to stay through the liquidation sale, but the terms were ridiculous and the pay/incentives weren't near enough.

I feel so blessed to have this opportunity to move on in my life and to better my skills. It's been a rough rode for the past little while with my job being in limbo and Jeff and I trying to get everything paid off and taken care of...but now I can see the light, in fact after tomorrow (my last official day at S.I.) I feel I will be standing IN the light!

P.S. On a side note, I also just found out the movie version of a recently read and loved book will be released in December of this year...for all you other Twilight series by Stephanie Meyer fans know that the movie of Twilight will be out December 12, 2008...I'm SOOOO excited!!! For those that have not heard of these books and/or read them, I HIGHLY recommend you get started, they are absolutely AMAZING!!! Here is her site, check it out:

"The Civil War"

We had the opportunity to go see a play at the Hale Centre Theatre entitled "The Civil War". It was an amazing depiction of the war and the events that happened involving both armies and even the black people. We were very touched by the songs sung and the acting and the stories that were intertwined into the play.

I personally love history and love to be able to witness things such as this. There was even one of the original Osmond brothers (Merrill Osmond) as one of the lead roles in play. I tried to copy some pictures from the website but wasn't able to, so here's the link to the website so you can see it for yourself.

Jeff also wrote something about the Civil War and will be added later.

Cake Cutting/Food fight...so much fun

We just found out that our friend, Benjamin, had recorded a video of us at our reception when we were cutting the cake. it was on his phone so it's not the clearest, but still it's fun to watch. So we thought we'd share it with you all! ENJOY!

Some Honeymoon pictures

I know, I know...I'm a slacker, and many people have bugged me about getting these up :). So they're FINALLY here, pictures from our honeymoon.

Once again we had an amazing time and highly recommend everyone going on at least one cruise in their life!!!

Anyway, enjoy the pictures!

Love,
Jeff and Jeanette

The Grand Gala Buffet

On Friday night they had a showcase of the chef and crew's talents. There were all sorts of things carved and made our of all types of food (fruit, veggies, fish, cheese, bread, etc.) It was really awesome, and to see what some people can do is just amazing!
So here are some pictures for you all to see :)!!!

Our last and favorite port...Cabo San Lucas!

Cabo was beautiful, with lots to see and do. Even just wandering up and down the port was cool...We saw lots of shop, got Jeanette some beautiful hand-embroidered skirts, and even went on a boat ride to see the Arch...which you will see pictures of!

Our second Port...Mazatlan

We went on a tour of downtown, saw a show (we will try and get some video's of it up, but for now only pics), did some shopping, ate lunch, and got harassed constantly by peddlers!

Our first Port...Puerta Vallarta

We just took a taxi downtown and walked around old town. There were some interesting things to see! And if anyone thinks driving sucks in Utah, go try driving around in Mexico!!! :)

Random pictures from around the ship!

The ship was so elegant and beautiful. It felt like being in a palace, every little things so ornate and detailed...anyway, here are some pictures.
