Sunny Days, Chasing the Clouds Away...!!

We've been having a lot of warm weather lately (by warm I mean we're reaching the 50's) and its been giving me a serious case of Cabin Fever. So, for the sake of all our sanity Jeff and I decided to take the girls to Wheeler Farm - it's free and it's outside!! It was sunny, warm with a slight breeze, and fresh air. In some ways it gave me a little taste of home, the farm smell :). The girls did great and seemed to LOVE being outside. Emmalyn didn't like the bright sun, hence the squinting in all the pictures, but she just kicked back in the stroller and enjoyed the ride. Brooklyn was ecstatic, talking, laughing, kicking, and just enjoying everything. Of course we had to get some picture of the event...

Brooklyn - left, Emmalyn - right

It was a great couple of hours outside and it has made me even more anxious for spring and summer so that I can take the girls out and about more often.
Meanwhile, since we're stuck inside a lot, the girls seem to be learning something new everyday. Both girls now make the sounds of "mama" and "dada" but I doubt that they actually associate the sounds with Jeff and I, it's still fun to hear though. I work with them everyday on their sitting up, they both will sit for a good 10-15 seconds on their own and get better and better everyday. Their separation anxiety is starting set in and that can be a challenge at times. I can't even go to the kitchen without one of them starting to cry a lot of times. Their new trick is cuter to show with a picture instead of explaining words...
They've always been perfectly content to just lay on the floor and play. Now they prefer it even more since they have their very own, built-in, go-wherever-they-go "toys". They love to grab their feet and chew on them. I just love when I look at them and see this...
...two little bums!! And more often than not, that's what I see nowadays. Of course with them doing this and rolling onto their sides more, they're getting that much closer to rolling from their backs to their tummies.
From day to day they learn and grow so much, it's just so crazy to me. On Sunday they turned 7 months old and I just can't believe time has gone by so quickly. Here are a couple of individual pictures to finish with.
Emmalyn - tired and ready for bed

Brooklyn - I went to get her from her crib one morning and she had this nasty scrape on her nose!
